Our guest is a strength trainer and pitching coach for the top high school prospect in New England. Logan Carman is the East Coast Evo Director of Player Performance and Winnacunnet High School pitching coach.
Carman has helped Winnicunnet's Joe Allen become the top high school pitching prospect in New England by putting together a training program that helped the pitcher boost his maximum velocity from 89 mph to 95 mph. Allen showcased his new skill set this summer for USA Baseball’s National Team as well as at the Area Code Games and East Coast Pro Showcase.

Today’s guest is former big leaguer Matt Antonelli, a Peabody, Massachusetts native who was recently hired as the new head coach at Bishop Fenwick on the North Shore of Massachusetts. Matt was drafted in the first round of the 2006 MLB Draft by the San Diego Padres out of Wake Forest University.

Today’s guest is newly hired Merrimack College head coach Brian Murphy. Coach Murphy is the seventh head coach in Merrimack program history. The Massachusetts native returns home to North Andover after he had four 30-win seasons with William & Mary, five CAA-Tournament appearances and the school’s first NCAA Tournament at-large bid.

Bill Decker is a coach in one of the only conferences that cancelled its 2021 season due to the pandemic. Coach Decker’s influence on the game has crossed NCAA divisions and spanned decades. Before his 10-year stint at Harvard, Coach Decker helped Trinity College become a Division 3 power. In his 22 seasons with the Bantams, he became the all time winningest coach in program history. His 2008 national championship team went 45-1.

New York Yankees scout Matt Hyde was named to New England Baseball Journal’s list of the 50 Most Influential People back in 2019. Matt recently helped direct the Summer Rivalry Classic --- a showcase event for some of the top high school and college prospects in New England. He assembled the rosters and managed the Yankees scout team at Fenway Park. Host Dan Guttenplan talks with Matt about his path to becoming a scouting director and his thoughts on some of the top 2022 MLB Draft prospects from New England.

Dan Duquette is a two-time Major League Baseball Executive of the Year. He is credited for being the architect of the great Montreal Expos teams in the early 1990s, with Vladimir Guerrero and Larry Walker. He then served as GM of the Red Sox from 1994 to 2002. He last served as a MLB GM with the Baltimore Orioles from 2012 to 2018.
